Medallion alternative for groups: fewer chases, not a CVO
Medallion verifies credentials at the primary source, builds credentialing files, and runs enrollment and licensing work for you. Its site calls it the partner “powering healthcare’s first real-time CVO.” The Roster is software your coordinators run: one list of what is due, documents read and matched to the right clinician for you to confirm, and each facility packet checked before it goes out. The Roster is not a CVO and does not do primary-source verification; it organizes and flags.
The short answer
Choose Medallion if you need delegated credentialing and verification done for you, or payer enrollment at scale.
Choose the Roster if your team already credentials, loses hours chasing renewals and documents, and wants every packet to go out complete.

Where the Roster saves coordinator hours
Verification is one part of credentialing. The rest is knowing what expires next, asking for it and assembling the packet. The Roster does that part.
- One Due list: every license, DEA registration, board certification, life-support card and malpractice certificate due in 90 days, across every clinician.
- Drop in what they send. Drop in a batch and each document is read, matched to the right clinician and added once you confirm.
- Packets that go out complete. Add the facility and start date; each item shows ready, expiring or missing. The clinician shares one secure link with a Word profile and every document, in order.
- Start from your spreadsheet: names, emails, NPIs and specialties. Nobody is emailed until you choose.
Where Medallion is ahead
Medallion does the verification and enrollment work itself, with experts reviewing each file and, per its site, performance-backed guarantees. If your bottleneck is verification, committee files or enrollment, the Roster will not remove it.
