LicenseScribe alternative: one record across 51 jurisdictions
LicenseScribe calls itself an “AI licensure agent for multi-state physicians”: renewal windows, CME mapped to each state, and a chat assistant. It is in open beta, with a free plan live and a Pro plan listed as coming soon. The Ledger is live for MD, DO, NP, PA, CRNA and CAA, with each license tracked against its board’s rules in 51 jurisdictions.
What LicenseScribe does, in their words
- Bring in your licenses by NPI from the national registry.
- A dashboard of status, expiration, CME due and a risk score.
- Per-state renewal checklists, a chat assistant, and AI that maps CME certificates to each state’s requirements.
- Rules checked by hand against each board, citing sources: ten states today, per their homepage.
- Listed for Pro, coming soon: CME tracking, document vault, DEA tracking and credentialing export packets. Their pricing page says the full app is free during the beta.
- Group pricing on request. They say the licensee remains responsible for submission.
It suits physicians with three or more licenses, including telehealth and locums physicians, who want a free license dashboard now.
Where the Ledger differs
- Clinician types. MD, DO, NP, PA, CRNA and CAA. Their site is written for physicians.
- Every board. 51 jurisdictions, each tracked against its own board’s rules, with the date we checked. One CME credit counts toward every state requirement it satisfies.
- Beyond the license. DEA and state registrations, board certification, life-support cards and malpractice coverage, live today.
- Credentialing packet. Your documents named in hospital order plus a Word profile, shared by a link that expires in 7, 30 or 90 days.
