CliniCert alternative: a record the clinician keeps
CliniCert says it helps “healthcare organizations track provider licenses, documents, payer enrollments, and renewals in one workflow.” It is built for clinic credentialing staff. The Ledger is built for the clinician: one record of every license, registration and CME credit, checked against each board’s rules.
What CliniCert does, in their words
- State licenses, DEA and state controlled-substance registrations, board certifications, malpractice policies and BLS, ACLS and PALS cards.
- Payer enrollment tracking on a board, with revalidation dates.
- Requirement templates by provider type, state, site or payer.
- Email alerts at 90, 60 and 30 days to the person assigned, with escalation.
- Seven built-in roles, multi-site support, an audit trail and bulk CSV import. They say they are in closed beta.
It suits clinics and growing practices whose staff handle credentialing and payer enrollment. Their site says the beta favors organizations with up to about 25 providers.
Where the Ledger differs
- Who owns the record. The Ledger belongs to the clinician. A group sees it through the Roster only at the access level the clinician picks, 1 to 4, and the clinician can revoke it.
- CME against each board. 51 jurisdictions, MD, DO, NP, PA, CRNA and CAA, each tracked against its own board’s rules. One CME credit counts toward every state requirement it satisfies. CME credit tracking is not listed on their site.
- Documents and packet. Drop a document in or forward the email; AI reads it and you confirm. Your packet is shared by a link that expires in 7, 30 or 90 days.

Choose CliniCert if
You run credentialing for a clinic and need payer enrollment tracking, requirement templates by site, and tasks assigned to staff. That is their focus, and we do not track payer enrollment. For a group, their listed per-provider price is also lower than the Roster’s.
