Opioid / controlled-substance CME in California

12 hrs one-time (by 2nd renewal / within 4 yrs) — pain management and care of the terminally ill, incl. Schedule II addiction risk. Trigger: all except pathologists & radiologists.

✓ No board pre-approval gate: No board pre-approval — but the course must reach 12 hrs and cover pain + end-of-life; the 8-hr core needs a CA addendum. Content gap, not an approval gap.
